Fast fashion offers a wide range of styles, keeps up with the latest trends, and is affordable, making it easy to indulge in impulse buying. When you're out shopping during the holidays and returning home with bags full of inexpensive clothes, have you ever thought about the environmental cost behind those low prices?
This November, Green in Tuen Mun is once again hosting a two-day Old Clothes Carnival with the theme of fast fashion. The event aims to delve into the environmental impact of fast fashion and encourage participants to change their consumption habits and embrace sustainable fashion.
The carnival will feature a variety of activities, including a free second-hand market and games, as well as the popular eco-workshops that teach participants how to upcycle old clothes into DIY practical items, redefining 'fashion' by cherishing existing resources and practicing a zero-waste lifestyle.
